The first match with VAR in the Second League took place in Ukraine (PHOTOS)

For the first time in history, the VAR system was used in a match of the Ukrainian second league championship.

According to Volodymyr Zverov, editor-in-chief of Profutbol Digital, the video assistant referee worked today at the final match of the opening round of Lokomotiv Kyiv vs YukSA Kyiv (0:0), which took place in the capital at the Bannikov National Sports Complex.

This season, UPL and PFL clubs have to pay for VAR themselves "according to the tariffs specified in the agreement between the UAF and the UPL and PFL", even if the appointment to the Ukrainian championship match comes from the UAF.
