Lucian Ionescu, the spokesman for Rapid Bucharest, has spoken about the club's assistance to Dynamo Kyiv in organising the match against Aris in the Romanian capital.
- "Mircea Lucescu is a national treasure, it is normal that we offer him all our support, from media relations in Romania to other details related to the match with Aris. Over the last three years, Rapid has developed a volunteer programme that works very well at the championship matches.
Around 120 fans are involved in everything related to the organisation of the match on a pro bono basis! They do it for Rapid and have all our respect. They have offered to help now, also for the sake of Rapid.
Personally, I also have a moral debt to Mircea Lucescu, because it was him who took me from the stand in 1998 and I became an official Rapid supporter," Romanian media quoted Ionescu as saying.
