The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has suddenly been forced to start a search for a new head coach of the national team after Roberto Mancini left his post.
According to the Italian media, the FIGC has already decided on the two main candidates to replace Mancini and is already negotiating with them. We are talking about Luciano Spalletti and Antonio Conte.
Both are currently out of work. Spalletti left Napoli at the end of last season after winning their first Scudetto in 33 years. Conte, who already led the Italian national team from 2014-2016, was sacked from Tottenham in the spring.
