The Italian Football Federation has announced that Luciano Spalletti has been appointed as the new coach of the national team.

It is reported that Spaletti will take up his duties on 1 September. The specialist's agreement is valid until 2026.

It will be recalled that the Italian national team is a rival of the Ukrainian national team in the Euro 2024 qualifying round. In the two opening matches, Mancini's team scored three points, losing to England (1-2) and defeating Malta (2-0).
