Fiorentina dominate Genoa in Serie A match at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris In a much-anticipated Serie A match at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, Fiorentina showed a terrific performance against Genoa. Already the score 0:3 at half-time spoke about the dominance of the visitors, and later they won with a final score of 1:4. The match started in a tense atmosphere, with both teams aiming to win at the very beginning. However, Fiorentina took the lead as early as the 5th minute when Cristiano Biraghi struck. Six minutes later, Giovanico Bonaventura doubled Fiorentina's lead with a goal, leaving the Genoa goalkeeper no chance to save. The hosts then received a disciplinary penalty: Matias Retegui was yellow carded on 21 minutes. A minute later, Biraghi received a yellow card, which emphasised the tension of the match: Fiorentina continued to press and create chances, causing discontent in the ranks of Genoa. In the 34th minute, Bonaventura, who had already managed to get in on goal, received a yellow card along with his formidable partner Biraghi. At the end of the first half, Fiorentina struck the decisive blow in the 40th minute. Nicolas Gonzalez demonstrated his goal-scoring prowess, increasing Fiorentina's lead to an astounding 0:3. The second half started with Fiorentina determined to maintain their advantage.
In the 56th minute, Rolando Mandragora made things even worse for Genoa with an accurate strike. However, Genoa managed to save themselves when Davide Biraschi scored in the 58th minute, giving the fans hope. In the 59th minute, Genoa made three substitutions in a row, hoping to turn the tide of the match in their favour. However, Fiorentina quickly responded with the first substitution: Nicola Gonzalez replaced Riccardo Sottila in the 72nd minute. In the final minutes of the match, the game became increasingly violent, with Genoa's Mattia Bani receiving a yellow card in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Fiorentina made two quick substitutions: Marvin Kayode and Alfred Duncan replaced Dodo and Mandragora respectively. In the 82nd minute, Fiorentina made a fourth substitution, with Marco Nzola replacing Lucas Beltran. As the match drew to a close, tension was building and in the 87th minute Nikola Milenkovic received a yellow card. In the final minutes of the match Fiorentina made one last substitution: on 88 minutes Giovanico Bonaventura replaced Gabriele Infantino. The final whistle blew, signalling Fiorentina's dominant victory over Genoa. Although the home side managed to get one shot on goal against Biraschi, Fiorentina's superiority was too strong. This convincing victory will certainly give Fiorentina confidence in their abilities and allow them to climb higher in the Serie A standings. On the other hand, Genoa need to regroup and analyse their actions in order to bounce back in the coming matches.
