Minaya head coach Volodymyr Sharan commented on his team's 0-1 defeat to Metalist 1925 Kharkiv in yesterday's match of the 4th round of the Ukrainian league.
"Despite playing poorly, we created a lot of chances. It's a pity that a constructive player in the middle of the field, Serhiy Panasenko, was injured before the break. Of course, the game in attack, constructive actions are a nightmare. In defence, we were even less effective.
To win, or at least not to lose, you need to score first. Unfortunately, we did not score. During the break, we made a substitution and started playing 5-4-1. We created chances that we just had to convert. If we don't score, are we waiting for us to concede? That's exactly what happened. A good game was not enough to score points," Sharan said.
