Benfica head coach Roger Schmidt explained the rotation in the goalkeeper line after the match of the 2nd round of the Portuguese championship against Estrela Amadora (2:0).

"After Monday (match against Boavista - Tribuna.com note) it was obvious that I wanted to have fresh energy in this position. Now we have three top goalkeepers. The performance (of Vlahodimos - Tribuna.com) was not good and I decided to make changes. I decided to release Samuel Soares. He showed himself well in pre-season training and I am satisfied with him.
Trubin has the potential to become a goalkeeper for Benfica, but he has been here only 9 days, he is still adapting. Putting Samuel in was a good decision. He proved that he is a good goalkeeper. Did Vlahodimos ask for an explanation? I will not comment on that," Schmidt said.
