English football club Liverpool has filed an appeal against the cancellation of Alexis McCallister's red card, which the player received in the Premier League match against Bournemouth in the 2nd round of the Premier League, talkSPORT reports.
McCallister was given a straight red card in the 58th minute of the match, which ended in a 3-1 victory for Liverpool, for a rough tackle on Ryan Christie.
If Liverpool's appeal is rejected by the FA, McAllister will be banned for the matches against Newcastle, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton and will only return for the clash with West Ham on 24 September.
