Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola underwent surgery for a back problem on the eve of the match against Sheffield United in the English league, according to the Manchester press service.
Josep Guardiola (photo: uefa.com)It is reported that recently the Spaniard suffered from severe back pain and therefore flew to Barcelona for emergency surgery, which was conducted by Dr Mireya Illueca. The operation was successful and now Pep will recover and rehabilitate in Barcelona.
Assistant head coach Juanma Lillo will coach the team and direct its play in matches. Pep's return is expected after the break for national team matches.
