Artem Kravets, Dynamo President's advisor on children's and youth football, summed up the results of the first competitive day of the Ruh Cup 2023 tournament, which is taking place these days in Vynnyky, near Lviv.
Artem Kravets (centre; photo: fcdynamo.com)- This is an all-Ukrainian tournament, it brings together the best teams from Ukraine. Against their background, we want to watch our guys, check their level. And also, perhaps, we will be impressed by the players of other teams whom we would like to invite to the Dynamo Academy in the future. These competitions are quite significant for us, we really wanted to go to them.
The first day was a bit difficult, but that's okay, we don't have a goal to achieve a result at any cost. Of course, in every tournament in which Dynamo takes part, we set maximum goals, but this is not the first priority. The most important thing, as I said, is to watch our team, give the guys game practice and carry out selection work.
- Was the opponent in the second match , the Rukh Sports School, more difficult than the first one, Skala 1911?
- A little bit so. We didn't start this match very well, perhaps we didn't come to the start of the match as focused as we should have, we quickly conceded two goals, but the guys did well - they showed character and not only got back at us, but also had every chance to win. It didn't work out, but it's okay, we play in a circular system, so everything is still ahead, everything is in their hands.
- What do you expect from the next game day?
- There will also be good matches. We are playing against Rukh Academy, which is a strong team, and we will also see our boys against them.
-Several new players have joined Dynamo U-16, and thecoaching staff has also changed...
- Yes, we lost a lot of children in our country because of the war. Many went abroad and never returned. We are fighting for some of the guys to the end so that they come back and stay in our team. So, no matter how strange it may sound two years before graduation, we are now at the stage where we are just forming the team and looking for players for many positions. Unfortunately, many teams in Ukraine have this problem, and nothing can be done about it. We are working, and I hope we will succeed.
- The Ukrainian championship among the DUFL teams, that is, for Dynamo U-16, starts in early September Is theRuh Cup 2023 the final stage of preparation?
- Yes, it is. Previously, this team took part in another tournament, and this is the second competition for the boys. After that, we return to Kyiv, where we will directly prepare for the start of the Ukrainian championship.
