On the previous day, it was reported that Denys Garmash is close to moving to Osijek, which is in second place in the current Croatian championship after 5 rounds. The veteran of Dynamo has only to pass the medical examination.
Croatian edition Sportske novosti confirms the agreement on the transfer of the 33-year-old Ukrainian (however, it does not specify the terms of the deal). Already today, on 29 August, Garmash must pass a medical examination before signing the contract. Together with Denis, the same procedure awaits several other potential newcomers of Osijek.
At the same time, the Croatian media expresses a lot of euphoria over the transition of the Ukrainian midfielder. "One of the most high-profile reinforcements in the history of Osijek. The club has never signed a player with such a rich biography. An icon of a famous club comes in. This is a player with exactly the profile that Osijek needs right now," Sportske novosti writes.
Garmash will be the second Ukrainian in the line-up of Osijek. The Croatian club already has 22-year-old Oleksandr Drambaev on loan from Shakhtar. The defender has already played 8 matches in all tournaments.
In the season 2023/24 Garmash has not yet played in the Dynamo first team. The midfielder played 361 matches for the Bilo-Syni, in which he scored 54 goals and gave 45 assists. Denis also has experience of playing in Turkey - in the second half of the 2020/21 season he played 16 matches for Rizespor (3 goals). His contract with Dynamo is valid until 30 June 2025.
