The clubs have reached an agreement on the transfer of the 36-year-old footballer. The Italian national team defender will sign a one-year contract with an option to extend for another 12 months. Bonucci is not part of the plans of the Old Lady's coach Massimiliano Allegri.
Based on the results of the last Bundesliga season, Union will play in the group stage of the Champions League, where they will meet Napoli, Real Madrid and Braga.
