Manchester City striker Erling Holland has been named UEFA's best player of the 2022/2023 season.

In addition to the Norwegian, Holland's teammate Kevin de Bruyne and Lionel Messi, who played for French side PSG last season, were among the three contenders for the award.

Earlier this week, Holland was named the English Premier League Player of the Year. Last season, Holland took part in 53 matches in all competitions, scoring 52 goals and nine assists.
