As part of the 6th round of the Ukrainian Youth Championship, Dynamo U-19 of Kyiv played Zorya U-19 of Luhansk. Despite the away status for the Kyiv team, the match took place at the White and Blues' country club base in Vita-Lytovska.

Before the reporting round, the teams were at different poles of the standings - Dynamo was the leader in terms of points lost, while Zorya had only three points and was at the bottom of the standings. But it was not an easy walk for Dynamo...
Already in the debut of the match, Surkis had to come into the game, parrying the opponent's hard shot for a corner. At the opposite goal, Ponomarenko had a great chance to score, hitting the post, and Gerich lacked just enough to get ahead of the defender and make a finish.
The exchange of chances continued. In one episode, Kremchanin sent the ball into the net, but the referees disallowed the goal due to offside. But Luhansk opened the scoring in the 25th minute according to the rules - Kapustyan shot on goal from 25 metres out, and the ball flew under the crossbar.
Seven minutes later, the nominal hosts managed to double their lead. Tokar successfully responded to a corner kick and headed the ball into the net past Surkis. By the end of the half, the White and Blues failed to reduce the deficit, as Ponomarenko and Osipenko scored twice on inaccurate shots.
The second half began for Dynamo with another cancelled goal. This time, Dykyi hit the goal on target, but the referee cancelled the goal because Osipenko was offside and actively interfering in the game. However, a few minutes later, the White and Blues managed to score a legitimate goal - having robbed the opponent in the other half of the field, the partners brought Ponomarenko to the striking position, and Matvey took his chance.
Ihor Kostiuk's men continued to run forward in the hope of saving the match. Osypenko missed the goal from a distance, the goalkeeper parried Kalyn's dangerous shot and coped with Ponomarenko's finish, while Dykyi scored near the post. To top it off, Gerich completed a quick counterattack by the White and Blues with a shot against the crossbar.
And the nominal guests were rewarded for their efforts in the 83rd minute when Lobko, who came on as a substitute in the middle of the second half, responded to Gerich's cross from the right flank and scored with a header. Kalyn and Mykhavko could have snatched the victory for the White and Blues in the last minutes of stoppage time, but in both episodes the Zorya goalkeeper played above and beyond the call of duty.
So, a 2-2 draw - Dynamo loses points for the second round in a row.
