The number 10 is an iconic number for the Catalans, having been worn by many top players over the years, the most famous of which, of course, was Lionel Messi.
Ansu Fatty inherited this number, but he will not be wearing it this season: the 20-year-old footballer has gone on loan to Brighton. Interestingly, none of Barcelona's newcomers decided to take the 10. João Cancelo will wear the number 2 shirt, while João Feliz has chosen number 14.
This is the first time Barcelona's squad will not have the number 10 since the 1995/1996 season, when the standardisation of numbers in La Liga came into effect.
