Head coach of Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih Yurii Vernydub commented on his team's 3-0 victory over Kolos Kovaliv in today's match of the 6th round of the Ukrainian championship.
Yuriy Vernydub"I really liked the game. There were two good teams on the pitch - Kryvbas and Kolos. But I liked the energy and desire that my guys offered the opponent today. I am happy for the team, we are on the right track. We scored three goals and won 3-0, but we also had many other chances.
But still, Kolos is a good team. We were more fortunate in some areas, so we won. The main thing is not to catch a break, but to continue working in the same spirit as we have been doing. And even more.
As soon as we scored the first goal, I told the team not to play for the ball and not to sit on the defensive. We need to keep playing, there is plenty of time. 1-0 is not a score that gives you a big advantage. Everything could have changed on the pitch. But we still went on the attack, built our football, which we develop in training.
"Kolos played their own football. As I saw, they have rebuilt themselves this year, playing a different tactical scheme. We play practically the same scheme: we can play with only one or two supporters. There can only be changes in this. Otherwise, the guys know that I like to saturate the attack. We played 6 rounds and scored 11 goals, which is a good result. We not only hold the defence, but also go on the attack. If you've noticed, the same thing happened with Shakhtar. Being 0-2 or 1-3 down, we still ran forward and achieved what we wanted," Vernydub's words were quoted by Kryvbas' official website.
