Former Luhansk Zorya midfielder Maksym Hlan will continue his career at Polish side Lechia Gdansk. The official website of this club yesterday announced the signing of a contract with the 20-year-old footballer.
In "Lechia" Hlan moved to "Lechia" on the right of a free agent. Recall that in spring the midfielder had a conflict with the management of Zorya: Hlan refused to sign a new contract with the club, for which he was transferred to the youth team. Last summer, the footballer unilaterally cancelled his contract with Zorya, which was valid until the end of this year.
"We started communicating with Maksim a few weeks ago. It was not easy to convince him that Lechia was the best choice for him, but as soon as he came to Gdansk and saw our stadium, all his doubts disappeared.
Maksim can do wonders on the pitch. When he has the ball, everything seems simple and easy. The coach can use him in any attacking position. He is fast and knows what to do with the ball", - this is how Lechia general director Paolo Urfer commented on the signing of Hlane.
We would like to add that Lechia already has one more Ukrainian - goalkeeper Bogdan Sarnavskiy. As for Hlan's new team, Lechia finished the last Polish championship in the penultimate place and relegated to the second division, where they are playing in the current season (8th place after seven rounds).
