Argentina's head coach Lionel Scaloni has said that he does not intend to rest Lionel Messi for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, despite his heavy workload in Miami. Messi has 11 goals and eight assists in 11 matches for Inter Miami.
"I see that he is in good condition. He is ready to play and we are happy to have him, as I always say. We expect Leo to play. If he has no problems, he will play as long as he can. We have no other options. It is important for us that he is on the pitch. There's no reason to keep him out if he has no problems," Goal quoted Scaloni as saying.
On Thursday, 7 September, the world champions will play at home against Ecuador, and on 12 September they will meet Bolivia away.
