"Liverpool offered Newcastle £100m for Bruno Guimarães

On the last day of the transfer window, Liverpool wanted to buy Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães.

According to AS, the Merseysiders' management made an offer of £100 million for the 25-year-old. "The Magpies refused to let the Brazilian midfielder go and are now working on extending his contract.

Guimarães' current contract with Newcastle runs until June 2026.
