Richard: Gareth Southgate is absolutely incapable as a manager, that's the plain and simple truth. Poor team selection, tactics and no plan B when it was proven that his initial set-up was wrong. It's amazing how one man can make a team of extremely talented players play completely uninteresting football. No courage. Not a single idea. The opposition showed character, but where is the character in Southgate's team?
andy3846: Since when is a draw with Ukraine considered a great result? Perhaps if we had shown even a tiny bit of ingenuity and creativity, most would have been happy. Instead, it's the same old boring festival of defensive football.
korvintage64: What a dreadful performance by England. As usual with Henderson in the team, the ball is going in every direction but forward. Ukraine found their way to our goal by passing quickly down the flanks. England's negativity is demonstrated by throwing the ball in from the corner flag and the ball comes back to Pickford?! We need a coach with more courage in his choice of tactics and players.
Perdition: The TV broadcasters, commentators, pundits and everyone else were so confident in the success of the match against Ukraine. As if England just had a God-given right to win. 100% arrogant. Ukraine didn't play very well, but still got a draw. Sorry, England, you're just not as good as you think you are. Not even close!
nochiponmyshoulder: Pitiful England performance, no plan b or any other ideas, Henderson is getting even slower (if that's possible), Maguire is living up to his donkey nickname and Kane is not being fed at all and is out of the game, the replacements are basically like reserves, Southgate needs to improve his game, he is not the saviour of English football, if he can't be of use when needed he needs to go. Ukraine deserve it!
Navers: Poor guys. Kane needs to drop deeper to succeed. The inclusion of Maguire and Henderson is really impressive. The formation needs to be changed to a 4-2-3-1. Maddison just doesn't work in a midfield three or on the left. He should be the number 10. On a lighter note, congratulations to Walker on his first goal in 77 games for the national team, and the Ukrainian players did everything to make their country proud.
ozzy: Maguire shouldn't have been in the squad, but the Ukraine goal wasn't all his fault - many players made pathetic efforts to get back at it, while several players were taken out of their positions to meet the ball as soon as it was in the penalty area. We need to throw Maguire off and think about Madison, he stopped watching Zinchenko and allowed him to run into the penalty area. He did not do enough. Too many players didn't work back, the defence actually played very well in positions, shame on the support from the midfield.
Anti woke: Our team did not look at the maximum points today, but seemed to be testing their ideas. The Ukrainians came out inspired and motivated, and thanks to the support of the stands, they were able to demonstrate 200% of their skills. Walker, who scored the goal and sent off Mudryk, from whom we did not expect anything, demonstrates that he is the most important player in the team, but Henderson and Maguire are already frying pies, as is Southgate.
Mighty Mouth: Can anyone explain why Arsenal and Chelsea were so desperate to buy this Mudryk? Every time I watched him play, he looked like a regional league player, he's absolutely zero.

goonerjake: Tired, uninspired, boring. Ukraine created some interesting game moments. A couple of times England made me lean over and jump up and down. But, apart from that, it's all a bit Southgate-esque. All the substitutions, like Henderson and Maguire coming on, are a gift to the opponent!
Mephisto: Wow, and this is the team that will fight for the Euros? Led by Southgate, it will be very dangerous. To bring on Bellingham but leave Henderson for the whole match is just ridiculous. Then, when Ukraine got back on their feet, to bring on a defensive midfielder instead of someone like Eze, who could have been the match-winner in those circumstances. Both the game and Southgate were rooting for the Ukrainians that night.
Let's Sign Erik Ten Has-Beens: This is a much better Ukraine team than the one that was eliminated by Scotland in the qualifiers last time.... and ended in a draw. We faced a fairly strong opponent, but it is precisely such teams that need to be defeated to hope for any trophies, because underestimation can lead to failure to leave the group at the Euro itself.
NudGaiK: 10 Ukrainian players fought back from the first minutes and held the opponent. It's hard to break down such a defence. A pretty decent result for the opponent, especially after England's victory at home at Wembley. It's hard to judge creativity if you're not playing against a team that also attacks.
stitch: The level of confrontation is not what it used to be. Hypothetically, who from the Ukrainian team would be in the England team? If they had the opportunity to change their citizenship. Someone could be selected on the basis of character alone, maybe Southgate and the players could be taught what it means to show their spirit.
