Norway striker Erling Holland is one of the main contenders for the Ballon d'Or, but the national team coach does not believe in his team's triumph.

"If you ask me my opinion about the future winner, I will say that Messi will win because of his triumph at the World Cup. It will have a big impact," Ståle Solbakken was quoted as saying by the Norwegian publication VG.

The 2023 Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place on 30 October at the Théâtre de la Shuttle in Paris.
