CIES Football Observatory analysts have named the club with the most expensive squad. It was the English Manchester United.
When compiling the ranking, analysts took into account all transfer fees paid for the players in the squad, including bonuses, regardless of whether they were achieved or not.
Manchester United is followed by Chelsea and Manchester City, who spent £974m and £895m respectively to complete their squads.
It is noteworthy that only PSG and Real Madrid do not represent the Premier League in the top 10 of this peculiar ranking.
