Former Bayern Munich chief Oliver Kahn, who was sacked from the Munich club at the end of last season, has signed a contract with Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal.
The former goalkeeper will become chief operating officer and a member of the club's management team. The 54-year-old Kan will be tasked with maintaining good contacts with European clubs and players, as well as continuing the practice of attracting big stars to the team.
Al-Hilal, last season's runners-up, already have Neymar, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Ruben Neves, Malcolm, Kalidou Koulibaly and Bono in the squad. There is a limit on the number of foreigners in the Saudi league this season, but that rule is expected to be lifted next year.
