As the final whistle approached, both teams made tactical substitutions in an attempt to consolidate their positions. In the 80th minute, F. Vieira and O. Zinchenko came on for Arsenal, while Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Garner came on for Everton. In the final minutes of the match, both teams put their best foot forward to win, but in the end Arsenal won 1-0 and Everton fans were disappointed but proud of their team's valour. The match showed all the intensity and skill for which the Premier League is renowned and will always be remembered by the fans present at Goodison Park.
