Thomas Tuchel will not be on the bench for Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stage match against Manchester United on Matchday 1.

In the return leg of the Champions League quarter-finals against Manchester City (1-1), Tuchel lost his cool and got involved in an argument with the match's chief referee, Clement Turpin, which resulted in his sending off.
Despite the absence of their coach, Bayern are considered favourites in the match against Manchester United.
