Former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder and now a famous Ukrainian coach Serhiy Kovalets shared his prediction for today's match of the 1st round of the group stage of the Conference League between Luhansk Zorya and Belgian Gent.
"We can not complain about the lot (in the group with "Zorya" - Belgian "Ghent", Israeli "Maccabi" from Tel Aviv, Icelandic "Breidablik" - ed.).
It is important that the Luhansk side are well prepared psychologically, then there should be no big problems.
As for Zorya's first opponent, only three rounds have been played in Belgium, so it's hard to say anything specific about Ghent. I believe that there is no favourite in this quartet, everyone will bite each other.
Of course, the new coach needs time to implement all his ideas, but Kriventsov has experience of independent work, he knows a lot of guys for a long time. That's why I believe that the coach will manage to get everything in place as soon as possible.
It would be good to win to earn more points for the club rating of Ukraine in European cups. However, I still think that the game will end in a 1-1 draw. Given all our realities, it will be a good result," Kovalets said.
