Former Metalist head coach Oleksandr Sevidov responded to Vladimir Barilko's statements in his address, where the ex-forward was not shy in expressions.

"I never did 10 for 100 in "Metalist"! The second point: I would advise him not to talk about what he does not know. If Barilko has specific accusations, let him provide evidence".
Barilko also claimed that after the defeat to Shakhtar (1:8) Sevidov gave the team three days off and a bath with beer, which looks quite strange after a bad result.
"It's easy to check. After the game I felt ill, my haemoglobin dropped, and I immediately went to hospital, and was discharged after the match with Dnipro. After the game with "Shakhtar" I was no longer at Metalist training base and I did not appear in the team", - said Sevidov.
Sevidov replied that he showed respect to all players, regardless of their level.
"To all players, even those like Volodya, I have always treated with respect. This can be confirmed by my former charges on "Hoverla", "Krymteplitsa", "Zimbru", "Metalist" and other teams that I coached. I have not insulted, offended, framed and betrayed any player".
Also Sevidov suggested why Barilko took offence at him. It's all about his own brother.
"I did not say such a phrase. For example, I had Vladimir's own brother Sergei, Vladimir's brother, playing in the starting lineup. Does he have less money? I think Volodya had some inner resentment left on me because his brother played and he didn't. I was also surprised by his statement about Markevych - that he often communicated with him. Who is Vladimir Barilko for Myron Markevych?", - said Sevidov.
At the end of the conversation, the former Metalist coach told how Barilko behaved in the team.
"He was quiet, calm and did not stand out in any way. So it was strange for me to read for the second time his groundless accusations against me. I do not say more only because of respect for Vladimir Barilko's father. I wasonce again convinced of the rightness of the proverb: "Theroad to hell is paved with good intentions," concluded Sevidov.
