Ukrainian midfielder of English side Brentford Yehor Yarmolyuk has revealed that he could have ended up at Dynamo Kyiv.
"There were negotiations with both Dynamo and Shakhtar, but I had a goal to go to England. I believe that this is the goal for every player in Ukraine and in the world.
At first, I couldn't believe my eyes when I got here. I got a lot of help with everything, the club welcomed me very warmly. They provided me with a club employee from Ukraine. Now I am very glad to be here, because I am progressing in this club," Tribuna quoted Yarmolyuk as saying.
It will be recalled that Yarmolyuk joined Brentford in the summer of 2022 from Dnipro-1. The Ukrainian spent last season in the youth team of the British club, but before the current season Yarmolyuk was transferred to the first team of Brentford. However, the midfielder has appeared in its line-up only once so far - for 12 minutes in the League Cup match.
