Latvian national teams of all levels will not play against Russian teams. This is stated in the official statement of the Latvian Football Federation.
"The Latvian Football Federation confirms that the Latvian national football teams of all levels will not play against Russian teams, regardless of the venue of such games or the form of representation of Russian athletes. This contradicts the Federation's firm position on the war that Russia has started in Ukraine, and this position will remain in force until the end of hostilities in Ukraine.
The Federation reaffirms that it is and will remain united with Ukraine and its Ukrainian colleagues in all future decisions. Also, the Federation fully respects and complies with the procedures established by Latvian law regarding the holding of such games or restrictions on the admission of such sports teams to the territory of Latvia," the statement reads.
It's good to see that the Polish Football Union has made the same decision regarding the Polish national teams.
"I was surprised by yesterday's statement by the UEFA Executive Committee. If the Russian teams are allowed to compete, our teams will not compete with them. This is the only right decision," said Cezary Kulesha, president of the Polish Football Union.
Earlier, England also refused to play with Russian teams.
