Maggiore received a yellow card, and in the 28th minute Empoli's A. Grassi received a yellow card. The turning point came in the 34th minute, when Empoli player T. Baldanzi scored a goal. Baldanzi scored a goal, putting his team ahead. At the start of the second half, Salernitana made a lot of changes in their line-up. They made three substitutions in a row: L. Pirola, A. Candreva and A. Martegani took the field instead of F. Daniliuk, E. Botheim and E. Bohinen respectively.
Empoli also made substitutions, releasing S. Shpendi in the 73rd minute instead of E. Giachinen. Shpendi instead of E. Gyasi. Maleh received a yellow card, but it did not affect the outcome of the match. Empoli secured the victory in the first half, and in the second half, thanks to a solid defence, kept the advantage until the final whistle. This match proved how important it is to capitalise on opportunities when they arise, as Empoli's only goal in the first half was enough for the win. Salernitana had plenty of chances throughout the match, but Empoli's defence stood firm and did not allow the team to score. Both teams showed their passion and determination throughout the match, making it an exciting spectacle for the spectators. Empoli are certainly confident of their victory and are looking to build on their success in future matches. Salernitana, on the other hand, need to regroup and concentrate in order to bounce back after the defeat.
