Swedish Football Association president Fredrik Reinfeldt has said that his UEFA was "very hasty" in allowing Russia's U-17 national teams to participate in international competitions.
Fredrik Reinfeldt- Russia has launched an unacceptable attack on Ukraine and we do not intend to participate in any competitive events with Russian participants.
The National Sports Confederation has a decision that children's and youth teams from Russia will not be allowed to participate in sporting events here in Sweden. We have also stated and continue to state that we do not intend to compete with Russian teams outside Sweden. This is our message," Reinfeldt said.
It should be noted that Sweden will host the next Euro U-17 girls' final tournament.
