The Norwegian Football Federation does not agree with UEFA's decision to allow some Russian national teams to participate in international competitions again.
Lise Claveness- We expected a better decision from UEFA on such an important issue. We take the position that Norwegian teams should not play against Russian teams while the war continues. All Norwegian sport stands in solidarity with Ukraine, this should also be seen as part of the sanctions.
We believe that in this emergency situation it is too difficult to separate football from the Russian policy of using top football as part of its propaganda. We expect UEFA to reconsider its decision on such an important and fundamental issue," Norwegian Football Association president Lise Klaveness said.
