Ukrainian defender of Everton Vitaliy Mykolenko was injured in the League Cup match with Aston Villa (2:1), which took place last Wednesday.

According to the preliminary conclusions of doctors, Mikolenko has a severe bruise, but today he is waiting for a medical examination, according to the results of which it will finally become clear what is the nature of the defender's injury, and when he will be able to return to the field. This was told by Everton head coach Sean Dyche at a press conference. So far the Ukrainian's participation in tomorrow's APL match against Luton is already in doubt.

Recall, Mikolenko called to the camp of the national team of Ukraine to prepare for the October matches of qualification for Euro-2024. The Blue-Yellows will start preparing for these matches on 7 October.
