In the 86th minute, when the match was about to end, Fiorentina player G. Infantino received a yellow card. In the last minute of the match Fiorentina won a deserved 3-0 victory thanks to a goal by M. Nzola. The match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi demonstrated Fiorentina's superiority over Cagliari in attack and finishing. The victory not only strengthened Fiorentina's position in the Serie A standings, but also emphasised their ability to control the game from start to finish.
