Today gave the world several famous people who closely linked their lives with football:
Viktor Kanevsky (1936-2018) - former football player and coach. He played at the position of a striker. During his career he defended the colours of only two clubs: Dynamo Kyiv and Chornomorets Odessa. In the USSR national team he played 5 matches, but did not score any goals. After the end of his career Kanevsky started coaching. Among the clubs previously managed by Viktor Israelievich are such teams as Dnipropetrovsk "Dnipro", Zaporizhzhya "Metallurg", Tashkent "Pakhtakor" and Kharkiv "Metalist".
Valdemaras Martinkėnas (1965-2004) is a former Lithuanian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. From 1991 to 1993 Valdemaras defended the colours of Dynamo Kyiv, with which he became the champion of Ukraine. Martinkėnas played 19 matches for the Lithuanian national team. In 2004 he drowned in a river in the Slovenian town of Nova Gorica.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (1981) is a Swedish striker for AC Milan. At one time defended the colours of Italian Inter, Juventus, Catalan Barcelona, French PSG, Manchester United, Ajax Amsterdam and Swedish Malmo. Ibrahimovic has won a league title with each of his teams. Ibrahimovic became the first player in history to score for six different clubs in European competitions. As a member of the Swedish national team, Zlatan played 122 matches and scored 62 goals. In June 2023, he announced the end of his career as a footballer.
