The Royal Belgian Football Association has commented on UEFA's decision to return the Russian U-17 national teams to international competition when asked by Tribuna.com.
"We understand UEFA's position that children should not be penalised for the actions of adults and we believe the endeavour to encourage as many young people as possible to participate in our sport is commendable.
However, the exclusion of Russian teams from international competitions was a clear signal from UEFA. The partial reversal of this decision is an excellent choice given the geopolitical context. We will consult other federations and UEFA before commenting on this issue," said the Royal Belgian Football Association.
