Shakhtar CEO Serhiy Palkin is in talks with Tottenham's management over the transfer of Manor Solomon.
- We are in the process of negotiations. I hope that we will find a solution. We want to cover our costs. For Tottenham, it's not a lot of money. "Shakhtar paid 6.5 million euros for Solomon and I don't think it's a huge amount of money for a club of Tottenham's level playing in the Premier League. I believe that it is possible to cover our expenses. I'm not trying to make money on this.
I hope we will find a solution. I don't know if they will accept the offer of 6.5 million euros, but I believe we will find a solution. From my point of view, Tottenham don't need this kind of case. It is not good when you sign a player for free who should cost 20 million euros. We played a friendly game, they were open to us and helped us. We have a good relationship. I think we will find a solution in 2 weeks," Palkin was quoted as saying by Football Ukraine.
