Rakitskiy breaks Shevchenko's record

Shakhtar Donetsk defender Yaroslav Rakitskiy, who scored a goal in yesterday's Champions League group stage match against Belgian Antwerp (3-2), became the oldest Ukrainian footballer to score a goal in this European tournament.

Rakitsky scored at the age of 34 years and 62 days. Before that, a similar record belonged to the legendary striker of Dynamo Kyiv and Italian AC Milan Andriy Shevchenko, who scored in the Champions League when he was 33 years and 36 days old.
