O'Shea in a bid to strengthen the defence, while Chelsea replaced A. Broya with N. Jackson to strengthen the attack.
In the 49th minute, Chelsea were awarded a penalty which was accurately converted by K. Palmer, putting his team ahead for the first time in the match. Burnley responded by making three simultaneous substitutions, with Vitinho, M. Trezor Ndayishimiye and J. Cullen trying to regain control of the game.
