As the game progressed, tension grew: in the 83rd minute Osasuna players C. Barha and D. Garcia received yellow cards. A dramatic moment unfolded in the 84th minute, when Real Madrid were awarded a penalty. However, Joselu's shot from the spot went past the goal, which deprived him of the opportunity to score a double. Nevertheless, the missed penalty did little to dampen the mood of Real Madrid, who kept a clean sheet and won a convincing 4-0 victory.
