"Shakhtar did not release players to the Ukraine U-19 national team

The list of players who travelled to Korea does not include Shakhtar representatives.

As Sport.ua learned, the Pitmen did not let their players go to the friendly tournament due to a busy calendar of matches of the youth team. "Shakhtar play not only in the U-19 championship, but also in the UEFA Youth League.

The preliminary list of players included goalkeeper Vladislav Kravets, defenders Mykola Ogarkov, Anton Drozd, midfielder Yevhen Yanovich and forward Anton Demchenko.

Shakhtar decided that a long flight, a different time zone, heavy adaptation would not be in favour of the young players. The national team's personnel losses were partially patched up by inviting players born in 2006.

The Seoul Cup tournament will be held from 10 to 15 October. In addition to Ukraine, it will be played by peers from Korea, Morocco and Vietnam. Each of the teams will play each other. The first match at the tournament Oleg Kuznetsov's team will play on 10 October against South Korea.
