Lyon and Lorient recently played an exciting match at the Groupama Stadium in Ligue 1. The match, in which both teams were keen to win, turned out to be tense from start to finish. The match started with Lorient's first spurt in the 16th minute when E.J. Crupi struck the opposition's goal, giving them the lead. However, Lyon quickly responded with two goals. In the 21st minute E. Nuama equalised with a brilliant strike, and a minute later A. Lacazette scored to put Lyon ahead. Lyon continued to dominate the game, and in the 41st minute Lacazette converted a penalty to increase the lead to 3:1. However, the break seemed to energise Lorient and in the 46th minute they made two early substitutions, with J. Laporta and J. Ponceau replacing F. Mendy and T. Bakayoko respectively.
These changes had an immediate impact on the game as Crupi scored his second goal of the match in the 54th minute, cutting the deficit to 3-2. In response, Lyon made their first substitution: in the 59th minute, Jefinho came on in place of M. Balde. In the 60th minute, Lorient made two more substitutions, replacing S. Alvero and M. Diawara with J. Lepenant and C. Tolisso respectively. "Lorient" continued to strive for victory, and in the 79th minute D. Yongwa scored a stunning goal, levelling the scoreboard - 3:3. The high heat of the match forced both teams to make another substitution: in the 71st minute Lyon replaced E. Nouam with S. Koumbedi. Koumbedi. In the 77th minute Lorient replaced B. Ndiaye with S. Koumbedi. Crupi. In the 87th minute Lorient made the last substitution. T. Le Bris came on in place of G. Kalulu, trying to consolidate the victory. In response to this, Lyon introduced M. Kekere instead of R. Cherka in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, A. Tosin replaced J. Mvuka Mugisha. Despite the efforts of both teams in the remaining minutes, there were no more goals and the match ended in a tense 3-3 draw. The game demonstrated the competitiveness and skill of the Lyon and Lorient teams, leaving the fans in suspense.
