Vasyl Kobin, a formerly famous Ukrainian footballer, shared his thoughts on the defeat of Dynamo Kyiv by Polissya Zhytomyr (2-3) in the 10th round of the Ukrainian championship.
"If Dynamo wants to fight for the championship, it has to solve its problems. I can't say that Sirota or Popov are bad defenders. One is a world champion, the other achieved significant results at the youth level. That is, the qualifications of these defenders are quite high.
Why the team concedes so many goals is a question for the coaching staff. Somewhere we need to work more on teamwork in defence.
It is difficult to overestimate the role of Andriy Yarmolenko in the team. He came back to win the championship. Both he and the club president spoke openly about this. Indeed, this is a loss, because Yarmolenko is an individually strong player who can take over the game, as he did when the team was drawing. He is missed," Cobin's words were quoted by the UPL TV telegram channel.
