Saudi Arabia has sent an official letter to FIFA announcing its intention to host the World Cup in 2034.

"Last week we announced our intention to host the World Cup and today we sent an official letter proving our aspirations to make our nation's dream a reality. Hosting such a tournament is an offer to the world to see the development of our country, to see our culture and to be part of our history," said Yasser Al-Missehali, head of the federation.
