The Ukrainian national team continues preparations in Prague for the Euro 2024 qualifying match against North Macedonia, which will take place in this city next Saturday, 14 October. On Monday, the October cold greeted the Blue and Yellows at an evening session held on the same field of the FC Sparta training centre as the day before.
Wind and rain, temperature no higher than 15 degrees - these conditions are definitely not comfortable. However, as you know, the game takes place in any weather, and the rain is not snow, and the temperature is above freezing, so there were no complaints about the weather conditions from the national teams.
23 players have arrived at the Strahov Stadium, including those who joined the national team today - Kryvtsov, Zinchenko, Mykhailichenko and Pikhalenok (Svatok and Riznyk will arrive at the national team camp tomorrow). Denys Popov continues his individual rehabilitation period.
After a general jog and warm-up, most of the national team members moved on to the main part of the training session. At the same time, some of the players who have recently had intense matches for clubs or long journeys - Oleksandr Zinchenko, Serhii Kryvtsov, Ilya Zabarnyi, Vitalii Mykolenko and Serhii Sydorchuk - limited themselves to running work today.
Meanwhile, the majority of the team, under the direct supervision of head coach Serhii Rebrov, had an intensive session that included game series, tactical ball holding, passing and shooting stations.
Tomorrow, after the players have levelled up their functional fitness, the team will have a larger training session.
