Dynamo defender Oleksandr Karavayev commented on the absence of midfielder Andriy Yarmolenko from the Ukrainian national team.

In my understanding, if a footballer with such experience, a legend of our football, runs back to the defence, takes the ball away, then a young player who is on the same field with him will not be able to do the same. If such a person does all this, then everyone should. This is an example for many.
Yarmolenko is very upset about the injury. He has leadership qualities. When he realises that he cannot help the team due to his health condition, it affects him greatly. In the last match, he did not play for Dynamo because of an injury, and he was very worried. And he also lets the fact that he cannot help the national team pass through him. He feels his body, what else he can give to the club and the national team. But there are loads - and the body can fail," Karavaev said on the Vzbirna YouTube channel.
