The Ukrainians were the first to create a goal-scoring opportunity - Derkach failed to convert a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. However, in the 11th minute, the Koreans opened the scoring thanks to a flank pass and a well-aimed header. The Blue and Yellows could have scored immediately, but Husiev failed to convert Kremchanin's excellent pass.
In the 24th minute, Ponomarenko entered the penalty area from the left flank, and Vasylets closed his pass to level the score. Nevertheless, the end of the first half was left to the hosts, who first hit the post and shortly before the break took the lead again after a free kick.
The Koreans started the second half better, creating several scoring opportunities, and in the 62nd minute, after a mistake by the Ukrainians in their own penalty area, they increased their lead. In the 78th minute, the blue and yellows reduced the deficit as Godi's free-kick was headed home by Panchenko. However, the opponents immediately responded with an effective attack of their own.
At the end of the match, Mikhavko's dangerous free-kick was parried by the keeper. In turn, Fesyuk saved our team from the fifth missed goal in one of the episodes. In stoppage time, after a corner, Gusev miraculously failed to score.
As a result, Oleg Kuznetsov's team lost 2-4. The next match against Vietnam will take place on 12 October.
