Sheriff Tiraspol has announced the appointment of a new head coach of its first team. Ukrainian specialist Roman Pilipchuk became the new head coach.
We would like to remind you that this is not the first time that a Ukrainian has been at the helm of Sheriff. Before the war, this Moldovan club was coached by the current coach of Krivoy Rog Kryvbas Yuriy Vernidub.
As for Pilipchuk, his last job was with Slovenian side Celje, which he led to the title of vice-champion of the country last season. As head coach of Sheriff, the Ukrainian replaced the Italian Roberto Bordin, who was dismissed after a crushing defeat to Czech Slavia in the Conference League with a score of 0:6.
