According to Mundo Deportivo, the Citizens are closely monitoring the situation with Olmo and are considered the favourites to land the 25-year-old. "City intended to bring in the Spaniard during the summer, but failed to agree on a transfer with Leipzig.

Olmo's current deal with Leipzig runs until 2027. The player's contract also includes a €60 million release clause.
