Jesse Lingard trains with Steven Gerrard's Al Ittifaq

Former Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard is close to signing a contract with Saudi Arabian side Al Ittifaq.

The 30-year-old remains a free agent after his contract with Nottingham Forest expired at the end of June. Jesse is currently training with Al Ittifaq, having scored a goal for Steven Gerrard's side in a friendly against Al Khaldiya this week.

According to Sky Sports, Lingard and Al-Ittifaq are close to signing a contract, but the player will only be able to officially join the Saudi club in January.
